Terpsichorian is a separate competition from the rest of the Nationals. You will perform one solo of your choice in the first round. Every routine must meet the rule guidelines for Symposium Talent Contest. The dancer must declare their category of dance and music title when they draw for their performance spot. Winners the first round, must do a different style dance in the final round. The “Open” category is not available for Terps competition. Be careful that your routine meets the rule guidelines, even if we missed a deduction at the regional level, does not mean it will be missed at the Nationals. If you have any questions, please call our office. Any performer utilizing Novelty Character as one of their routines should check with our staff to insure it meets the rules.
All National Terps competitors must enter every routine they used to qualify at regional or the Terps fee is $200. The normal Terps fee is $75, which covers the entire National participation in the Terpsichorian competition, both first round and final round. This fee is in addition to your regular solo entry fees.
Please call or our office if you have any questions or concerns. Please include your Terps entry fee with your solo entry form and check the box on the upper right hand corner that you are a Terps participant.
All judges working at the 2008 Nationals will judge you. The decision of the Judges is Final.
Good Luck and we will see you in June!
